Trust No Bitch * Thrifty Goth Guest Post
First off, I just did a guest blog post for the new Thrifty Goth blog! I'm the one who took its cherry. You're going to have to read all about it [here].

The quote above reads, “Belittling, bullying, and lying is not the way to success. This is why nobody trusts each other anymore. Second Life is our second chance to get things right. Why does it need to be negative? Why do we cause each other pain?” ~ Taisynn If you'd like to see what inspired this post, feel free to keep reading or just head over to The Thrifty Goth for the credits to the items [here].

If you'd like to continue reading on, I'm going to address some 'rumors' that have been said that are not true. [Read more]

The blog has been doing really well, so it's not surprising I'd have a few haters, but the quote is inspired by a certain few people who have been spreading rumors about why I blog and saying I have a sinister purpose. Normally I do not give any attention to drama such as this, but it keeps coming up in conversations so I am going to make my stand.

Yes, I blog freebies, and like many people, I love free stuff. However, this doesn't mean I'm a total freeloader on Second Life like everyone thinks I am. I recently spent about $2,000L at the Funny Puppet Fair between the hunt and buying things from the amazing exclusives there. I do not have a very good budget in real life, so I don't have a lot, but when I do have it I spend it on the people who help support me and my habit on Second Life. In real life, I have PTSD and high anxiety, and it is due to a traumatic event which happened when I trusted the wrong person and allowed them to come into my real life. Blogging has become my solace from the nightmares and the psychological pain I have suffered since then. The pictures, the artwork, the relationships I build with my readers and my designers -make me happy-.

I also will not and do not blog for anybody of which I would not wear their stuff. When I ask to blog for someone, it's because I genuinely love their work and that something within it inspires me to make portraits of myself like the one above. Most of the time they have a meaning behind it.

My creators are my friends and honestly, many of them are like family to me. Yes, they help me out, and yes, I do receive packs for free to review from them, but that is -not- why I blog. There are much easier ways to get freebies on Second Life, and honestly, if I want to blog it, I eventually will when can I afford it anyway. The sponsorship process is just a quicker way for me to be able to do this.

I am not going to mention who or why some of these people said the mean things they did, but my only response is BELITTLING, BULLYING, and LYING about people on Second Life isn't a way to be successful, and spreading RUMORS is just pushing people to quit; this is why we lose friends and beautiful designers. The drama on Second Life makes me facepalm because it's worse than pre-teens in junior high when majority of the players are supposed to be adults. It's why I rarely socialize anymore outside of my current groups, and I am not afraid to leave a group because I disagree with their stances on SL or want to get away from their drama.

My blog and my focus on the fashion and hunts in SL keeps me busy. Everyone has a right to their opinions, but what you do with those opinions is what makes it wrong and creates drama. Of course, not all drama can be avoided, because everyone has feelings and all those feelings are legitimate to that person; it is natural to want to defend and fight for your beliefs. We are only human. But when you use hurtful language and drama to hurt someone realize that eventually it does get back to them.

However, I'm going to give a shout out to a fan of mine from Reddit. It makes me feel good when I hear things like this, and gives me the courage to pull through and ignore the sound which sometimes rises above my peace, "You are very welcome - ignore the haters out there. You have tons of fans." Thank you, Serott (shortening the name for privacy's sake),  and thank you everyone who continues to support me and send encouraging and supportive words.

Sincerely,
Taisynn
